Alisha Owens named V.P. and Chief Revenue Officer of NOLA Media Group

Alisha Owens, a media executive with 26 years of experience, has been named Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of NOLA Media Group, publisher of The Times-Picayune and NOLA.com.

As CRO, Owens will lead a multiplatform advertising sales department that is responsible for building advertising, marketing sponsorship and market services revenue for NOLA Media Group’s expanding local media brands: The Times-Picayune, NOLA.com, MardiGras.com, Where NOLA Eats, NOLA Mundo, One Tammany and Dunc & Holder: Smart Sports Talk for Serious FansÔ. She will also serve on the NOLA Media Group executive team, developing the broader revenue growth and new products agenda for the business.

Owens most recently served as vice president of advertising and marketing for the Arizona Daily Star; prior to that, she served as director of advertising for two media companies, The Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C. and The Press of Atlantic City in N.J.

Owens received her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Stockton University in Galloway, N.J. in 1999. In Charleston, she was a member of the Executive Association of Greater Charleston and Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Charleston Class of 2015. To New Orleans, she brings a lifelong commitment to community involvement, including recovery work as a Red Cross board member after Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
